Mami # 9 - Tour Eiffel

After waiting in line for an hour we made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower!
The gold dome is the Tombeau de Napoleon also known as le Dome. It is where Napoleon is buried.
The tall building off in the distance is the Tour Montparnasse, it is the tallest skyscraper in France.

If you look closer the Statue de la Liberté is located near the third bridge.
This is the Trocadéro, site of the Palais de Chaillot. The hill of the Trocadéro is the hill of Chaillot, a former village.

Can you spot the Arc de Triomphe?
There it is:
Parisian rooftops:
An awkward angle:
Mami y la vista:
Yo y la vista:
In Spain, I once asked Mami why Japanese (and Chinese and Koreans) do the 'peace sign' with their fingers in photographs. And she said, no we don't! What are you talking about. Then I went to her room grabbed her photo album and pointed out peace signs in more than 80% of the photos. She said it signifies they are having a good/fun time. Well okay then.
Mami y yo.

This is Monmarte and Sacré-Cœur:

This is what the innards of the Eiffel Tower look like:

Then we got lunch at a nearby restaurant:
mmm steak in my belly.
Then we went to the Trocadéro to get better photographs of the Eiffel Tower.
