chez papa

Tonight we (Alison, Madison, Malone (Madison's sister who is her for her spring break) and myself) went to Chez Papa. It's a restaurant that specializes in south-western French food. I had NO idea they ate huge portions in the south-west of France and after getting buddy-buddy with our waiter I asked for a DOGGY BAG. That's probably the biggest French faux pas but up until this point I had never been served so much food that I couldn't finish. Which made me realize, the French are excellent about serving the perfect portion, not too much and not too little, just perfect.

This was my salad, it consisted of not that many greens, 3 types of delicious cheese, lardon (which is sort of like bacon/ham, but not? it's hard to explain) and potatoes. Oh my lord, it was so filing and heavy and mmmmmm good.
Alison opted to try something new. She also ordered a salad but got the one with giblets (liver, heart, gizzard, and/or neck of fowl). I think her face sums up how she now feels about giblets:
