la taxi jaune

Today Alison and I tried a new restaurant called Le Taxi Jaune. We were the first ones for lunch, here are our coats:
Behind Alison is the seasonal menu that the restaurant follows of vegetables, fruits, cheeses, meats, wine, etc.
Here is the lunch menu:
Here is part of the restaurant:
The monthly boards are incredible. The handwriting and illustrations are so classy.
"The Chef renews the menu everyday according to the arrival of the market goods (meats, veggies, fruit, etc)"
We love this restaurant already.
Alison and I ordered the same thing which turned out to be, hands-down the best meal we have both ever ate in our entire existence. Roasted beef, sweet potato puree, and vegetables. I don't even KNOW how it was soo good. It was incredible and unbelievable and perfect in every way possible.
I think Alison's facial expression captures this moment perfectly. Anticipation. Happiness. Curios. Wonderment.
About 10 minutes later we had (nearly) licked our plates.
Oh and also there was a really awesome guy with a really awesome mustache.
We were trying to be sneaky so we couldn't exactly catch the detail, but his mustache goes straight across his face, it doesn't curl up. How does he do it???
!!!
