Palais Champs-Elysees

Palais Champs-Elysees is the equivalent to our White House.
This is where Sarkozy lives:
This is what Sarkozy looks like:
Oh hey, Sarkozy.
Oh interesting, you sly French man you. Read here about his relationships. Fun fact = he used to be the mayor of my commune. Fun Fact #2 = Carla Bruni, his current wife, is an Italian born International pop star. Here they are vacationing:

HE IS SUCH A SHORT LITTLE GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Palais Royal

pidgeons!
I quite like this lady.

the building is sooooo long:

bibliotheque nationale

Wow. Bibliotheque Nationale is the national library. Wow.
Innnnnncredddible!
I don't think I could ever study here because I would be staring and gaping and drooling on the books. I love libraries.

skin

check out the skin of this building!
totally radical to the max:

le whif hahahhahah

This is the biggest joke in all humanity. Le Whif. Okay first of all, the name. Le Whif, really? Le Whif is a new approach to eating by breathing. (HA!) With Le Whif, you inhale food, into your mouth and taste it, without chewing. (HA HA!) The taste of chocolate without the calories! The kick of coffee without a cup! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
this is their super posh shop:
it's like a chapstick capsule with the le whif just waiting to be whiffed - or something.
downstairs is the "lab", qualified personnel only.

la banque de France

La Banque de France has green doors. I like 'em.

Hotel de Ville - tennis

Everyone here is really pumped up for the French Open aka Roland Garros. Hotel de Ville even had some tennis courts set up and a sand court for tennis volleyball??? I've never seen anything like this before, it looks really difficult and the rallies never last for more than a couple of minutes:
Hotel de Ville:
Tennis courts!

Hotel de Ville -Paris d'Amour expo

L'Hotel de Ville was having a free expo so I decided to check it out. Paris d'Amour (click thumbnails to read French love stories, awwwwww) by photojournalist Gerard Uferas.
most of the photographs were of French weddings/couples:

= In Paris everything is mixed. Within our street we get the impression of being in Italy, a Chinese bar, the neighbors celebrate the Ramadan, one can eat Cambodian food, women wearing boubous will cross (the street)...Here we share the world.

e.dehillerin

E. Dehillerin carries culinary materials and hard to find kitchen tools
Don't be deceived by there enormous windows, this shop it actually quite tiny!

All the products are stacked in what seems like garage shelving, everything is a little disorderly and very dusty. It was sort of a disappointment :(

ekobo

Ekobo carries eco-friendly bamboo kitchenware.
I like the large bowls that have a curved semi circle in the rim for the spoon to lay.
I also like these spoons.

by mutation

by mutation is little shop in the 20eme owned by quite possibly the nicest French gal I've ever met. She designs the clothing, creates the accessories and hand crafts all the jewelry.

She has a local artist displaying her wet plate photography! So sweet! The images were incredible, to learn more about the process in creating wet plate read here!

parc belleville

Parc Belleville has nice views of the city.

atelier beau travail

Atelier Beau Travail is a studio/shop composed of several designers who showcase their creations every saturday to the public.
Pretty sweet stuff.

le monte-en-l'air

Le Monte-en-l'air is a half bookshop + half gallery.
I did not fancy the art.

The shop carried illustrated books, comics, graphic art, etc.
But it was a little too bizarre for my liking.

cimetiere belleville

Today I visited Cimitere Belleville:
Check out those water tanks!
and graves.
RIP Frenchies.
