up in the arc

I hadn't been up in the Arc de Triomphe yet and I thought it would be a swell idea to see la Nature Capitale on the Champs Elysees from a high viewpoint, as well as the sunset over La Defense and the twinkling of the Eiffel Tower at dusk!

The City of Light, starting to light up....

Underneath the Arc de Triomphe is the tomb of an unknown solider from WWI. An eternal flame is lit every night:

and last but not least, this makes my heart melt:
