Fun fact = Don Quijote de la Mancha is the second more translated book in the world (following the Bible). One time I was playing a trivia game with Lana and when asked, what book is in 9 out of 12 homes? Her answer was Harry Potter. No Lana, the Bible. hahahah

The Village Voice Bookshop is quite known from David Sedaris' novels. He use to frequent this bookshop and host live readings.

Aw maaan, this place has SUCH potential to be so awesome. Tea and Tattered Pages is a used bookshop / tea room. The concept is a brilliant idea but it's just dead in there.

San Francisco Book Co. is a promising place to find a cheap used pocket book:

San Francisco.....

.....and right around the corner I discovered Berkeley Books, ha! Another English used bookstore! Brilliant.

The Abbey bookshop, located near Shakespeare + Company, sells 80% used books 20% new books. I picked up a used copy of What is the What - an autobiographical novel about Valentino Achak Deng (written by Dave Eggers).

This place was exploding with books!

I don't think I've ever seen so many books in such a little place!

It was a little overwhelming....

there was even an underground cave!

Wow. Bibliotheque Nationale is the national library. Wow.

I don't think I could ever study here because I would be staring and gaping and drooling on the books. I love libraries.

le monte-en-l'air

Le Monte-en-l'air is a half bookshop + half gallery.

I did not fancy the art.

The shop carried illustrated books, comics, graphic art, etc.

But it was a little too bizarre for my liking.

WHSmith Bookshop

The "Borders" slash "Narnes + Boble" of Paris: WH Smith.

Nothing too exciting about this bookshop and no personality either.

Blah.
