Plaza del Sol. The heart of Madrid and the heart of Spain.
Fun fact about this plaza I learned in my Spanish Culture class in Spain, on New Year's Eve Spaniards gather around this clock to ring in the New Year. With their fistful of 12 grapes ready, each time the clock chimes they stick one in their mouth. The tradition started in Spain because one year when there was a big grape harvest, the King of Spain decided to give everyone grapes!
